What is Mobic used for?

Mobic is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory
drug.
Mobic is used to treat pain or
inflammation caused by arthritis.
How should you take this medication?
- Take Mobic by mouth, to lessen stomach upset,
these medicines should be taken with food or an
antacid.
- Take Mobic with a full glass of water. If you
are taking the liquid form, shake the bottle well
before each dose.
- If you miss a dose of mobic, take it as soon as
possible. If it is almost time for your next dose,
skip the missed dose.
General Precautions with Mobic
- Serious problems such as liver damage have
occurred in people treated with NSAIDs. Some of the
warning signs of liver damage can be nausea,
vomiting, fatigue, loss of appetite, itching, yellow
coloring of skin or eyes, flu-like symptoms and dark
urine.
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have ever
had any unusual or allergic reaction to any of the
nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or to aspirin,
salicylates, ketorolac, or zomepirac.
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any
medical conditions, especially if any of the
following apply to you:
If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant
If you have a history of kidney or liver disease,
diabetes, stomach or bowel problems
If you have high blood pressure, blood disorders,
bleeding or clotting problems, heart problems or
blood vessel disease.
What are the possible side effects of Mobic?
- Stop taking this medicine and get emergency help
right away if any of the following side effects
occur: fainting; fast or irregular breathing; fast,
irregular heartbeat or pulse; swelling of your face,
eyelids, mouth, lips, or tongue; puffiness or
swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes;
shortness of breath, troubled breathing, or
tightness in chest.
- Keep taking mobic and talk to your doctor if you
have any of these less serious side effects:

upset stomach, mild
heartburn or stomach pain, diarrhea, constipation,
gas

dizziness, headache

skin itching or rash
-
dry mouth
-
increased sweating, runny
nose
-
blurred vision
