What is Ibuprofen used for?

  • Ibuprofen is in a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It is used to reduce fever and treat pain or inflammation caused by many conditions such as headache, toothache, backache, minor pain of arthritis arthritis, menstrual cramps, or minor injury.

How should you take this medication?

General Precautions with Ibuprofen

  • Tell your health care professional if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to any of the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
