What is Doral used for?
- Doral is in a group of drugs called
benzodiazepines, it used to treat insomnia.
How should you take this medication?
- Take doral only when you are getting ready for
several hours of sleep. You may fall asleep very
quickly after taking the medicine.
- Doral may be taken with or without food. Take 15
to 30 minutes before bedtime.
- If you miss a dose of Doral , take it as soon as
possible. If you no longer have time for a full
night's sleep or you do not remember until the next
day, skip the missed dose and go back to your
regular dosing schedule.
General Precautions with Doral
- Do not use this medication if you are allergic
to doral or to other benzodiazepines.
- Before taking Doral, tell your doctor if you have
any breathing problems, glaucoma, kidney or liver
disease, myasthenia gravis, or a history of
depression, suicidal thoughts, or addiction to drugs
or alcohol.
- If you think you may have become mentally or
physically dependent on this medicine, check with
your doctor.
- Doral may cause drowsiness, dizziness,
lightheadedness, or difficulty with coordination. Do
not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else
that could be dangerous until you know how you react
to Doral.
- Do not drink alcohol while you are using Doral .
What are the possible side effects of Doral?
- Get emergency medical help if you have any of
these signs of an allergic reaction: hives;
difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips,
tongue, or throat.
- Check with your doctor if any of these common side
effects persist or become bothersome: anxiety,
drowsiness during the day, dizziness, fatigue,
headache; blurred vision, nausea, nervousness,
sluggishness, unusual weakness, dry mouth.
